Zusman-JDC prize awarded to the legal team of Bizchut
At a ceremony held in the presence of the President, Moshe Katsav, Attorneys Neta Dagan and Tirza Leibowitz - Bizchut’s legal team - were awarded the prestigious Leonore & Larry Zusman-JDC Prize “for Excellence in the Field of Social Services in Israel – development of services for the disabled”, not least as a result of their major role in ensuring the passage into law in 2005 of the Accessibility Chapter of the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Law. Their vital contribution to this process included coordinating coalitions and forums of people with disabilities and disability organizations, stressing representation for all types of disability and shepherding the proposed law through dozens of Knesset sessions and meetings with Government representatives.
